Adult Care

The Lead Adult Care Worker is an integrated programme of knowledge and skills acquisition, developed alongside core behaviours expected of a competent worker operating in a regulated field.

Apprentices must undertake a programme of study in a suitable care setting and complete:

  • The Care Certificate.
  • The Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
  • Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.

Independent EPA can be attempted only when these components have been achieved and a self-assessment conducted upon which part of the EPA will be based.


  • Situational judgement test.
  • Professional discussion.
